🌍 Mundo Esperanza – World Hope is bringing the hope of clean water to one of our partner villages in the highlands of Cusco, Peru: Tomacaya! Nestled near the sacred mountain of Salkantay, Tomacaya is a vibrant community rooted in Andean tradition and culture—now making strides to improve essential water infrastructure through a powerful collaboration.
We’re honored to be working alongside Engineers Without Borders – UW–Madison Chapter to plan, design, and implement a sustainable new water distribution system that will support the well-being and future of the village.
These photos show the initial site assessment by engineer Carlos Elorrieta Velarde, his team, and local leaders Rubén and Eulogia—marking the first step of this transformative journey.
More to come—stay tuned and help us share the hope! 💙
