GSAFE creates just schools for LGBTQ+ youth in Wisconsin: We are committed to youth leadership, anti-racism, and social justice and recognize we are all life-long learners and teachers. We are driven by a vision of a world free of oppression based on gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, and other identities and strive to model the world we want to exist through our everyday actions.

Shirley S. recently dropped off a number of upcycled denim pieces for this year's GSAFE 's Online Quilt and Fiber Art Auction (Nov 24 - Dec 1), including this cool yellow denim jacket with Transpainter art added to the back. This one features the message "You Are Loved" with flowers against the Progress Pride Flag.
We're excited for this one to find a good home - a perfect gift for someone you love, including yourself!

Regular contributer Coleen A. dropped off this lovely donation for our Online Quilt and Fiber Art Auction opening November 24th.
Colleen says it can be hung outside if it's a covered area. We think it would also be great in a government or U.S. history classroom!

T3 (Trans Teens. Together!) is a drop in program for gender expansive teens ages 13-18 looking to connect with other teens. This space is supervised and provides open, free choice time for teens. Pizza and games are provided.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show , as always, we had a blast meeting people from all over. We especially love meeting fellow q***r and trans peers, as well as hearing stories about LGBTQ+ family and loved ones. ALSO, congrats to Julia L., Lola S, and Marcia T - you are the winners of this year's raffle. Watch for an email coming your way soon. Thanks to everyone who entered!

It's day 3 at the The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show - sew much to see and do!! Make sure to stop by booth 624 to say hi to Gael and the Blue Bar Quilts crew - and check out some JUKI Home Sewing, too! GSAFE 's online quilt and fiber art auction can't be more grateful to the BBQ crew for all their love and cheerleaders for the auction - thank you! (You can say hi to us and drop off donations at booth 614, too!)

With school back in session, we’re happy to bring back our TransParent gatherings for youth and caregivers!
If you are a parent or caregiver of a transgender, nonbinary, or gender expansive kid in Wisconsin or the surrounding area, this is the group for you! Our group is led by parents of gender expansive young people alongside mentors who are gender expansive adults. We meet in-person once a month, creating a welcoming space for families to connect, share experiences, find resources, and celebrate our incredible young people.
During the meeting, young people and parents have separate spaces so everyone can feel comfortable speaking openly about what’s on their minds. Our young people spend time with supportive adult mentors, while parents connect with facilitators who are fellow parents and caregivers of gender-expansive kids.
