K**b job with the Side Charlie Halligan, Adz wedge and Arrow tool. A deadly combo. (Yes we know the door wasn’t locked. Yes this is training. Yes we know there is a deadbolt. Yes you should always wear PPE.)
Not everything is a race. Especially in training. Going slow to understand what locks need to be defeated and the best place to put your tool is a good thing.

Go beyond… size up can’t just be wood or metal frame. There are different types of wood frames and specifically the stops. A two piece nail on stop will fail differently than a routed or rabbited jam. One breaks and one crumbles. The two piece you can remove and get out of the way, the one piece you have to work around. Anticipate the failure during size up. Stick with ABCD. Start with the Adz, you might get it, if not straight to plan B. You can use and wedge, fork or baseball swing. Thank you for the photos!
