I'm back! 🎉 I had to take a break from sewing for a while to move in to our new apartment and get settled... but now I'm back at it and some new projects are in the works! ✨ I made some mock-ups last night to figure out how I want to do the color blocking for this shirt. I'm probably going to go with bottom-right because I think it's the most balanced, though I may always change things up as I'm actually making it as well 😄 This was inspired by my favorite thrifted rayon challis button down, which I'm cloning but also adding a little extra flair with the asymmetrical hem and the color blocking. That's one of the great things about sewing, I can take an article of clothing I enjoy and tweak it however I want 😄

The one that started it all... 💕 When I saw this gorgeous fabric I knew it was calling to be made into a jacket. After I made that one for myself I was hooked 😄 That's what inspired me to open up my Etsy shop (cause I only need so many jackets for myself haha!). I've made a lot of iterative improvements since that first jacket, so I was excited to get to make the new and improved version for a customer in the original fabric I fell in love with!

The completed bomber jacket! ✨ This fabric is one that I saw and *immediately* added to cart haha. I love the versatile cream and black colors paired with the subtle floral pattern for some added interest. This is one I'll be wearing often for sure! 😄

Photoshoot for my completed bomber jacket sample today! ✨

It was quite the experience because our AC broken and it’s an insulated jacket lol, but I’m happy with how the photos turned out 😅 I feel like I’ve got my new backdrop and lighting setup down now. A mirror behind the camera was super handy in particular to see how my shots actually lined up on self timer 😄

I’m now working on editing photos from the shoot and getting everything ready to launch! ✨ Bomber jackets will be available for pre-order on JUNE 4!! 🥳
