The California Monza leg at American QMA this past weekend was a hit. They put on a great event and the kids had a blast. While we didn't have any wrecks like at the last Monza, it was still difficult competition. Jace put in a great effort. After qualifying, we had some work to do on the car. The heat race was a beast, with Jace almost not being able to race due to malfunctioning brakes. But everyone rallied around him and helped us get out on the track. After that tulmultous start, Jace started in 2nd and after a good fight, he spun out with only a few laps to go and ended the race in 8th. We made a gear change for the main and Jace went back out, ready to give it his all. It was another difficult race with Jace starting in 8th and after a great pass at the end he finished in 7th. After scratching our heads a bit, we unfortunately found a new oil leak. Definitely time for a rebuild. We might not have made any podiums but we learned a lot this weekend and we grew as a team.

Big thanks as always to the Tikkanen Family for hauling our car out to American for us. We wouldn't be able to race without you!

And thanks to American for putting on another great event. We are looking forward to the last leg of the CA Monza at Baylands QMA in October!

The CA Monza series at SoCal this past weekend was a rough one for JBR. "Race, wreck, repair, repeat" seemed to be our luck. After losing the entire front end in practice, we got the car back together and ready to go in time for the show; using almost all the spare parts in our inventory in the process. All the kids raced hard, and we ended the main event with another bent axle. We've got a lot of work to do before the next Monza at American in a few weeks!
