ELLA - (super senior, would be open to adoption IF the PERFECT family is found)

Oh Ella, Princess Ella, … 💕 What a SWEETHEART you are! And so affectionate! Ella found herself in a local shelter on the euthanasia list list bc she was ‘medical’. After a rough shave & nail trim, Ella was able to break out of her ‘chains’. The vet checked her out & reported: old as dirt 😂, luxating rear patellas, minor trachea restriction, bad teeth, catreracts, hearing impairment. Nothing unusual for the 12/14 years of life. Has an ear infection & is getting treatment. A dental is scheduled for this sunday. Vet said her heart is strong though ❣️❣️ Her spirits match her heart❤️ She is a happy happy girl now! From horribly neglected to cherished like she deserves. Welcome to The Ranch ole gal, we are the lucky ones 💕🐾💕

🐾cateracts/ vision impaired, but she can see a tiny bit & gets around just fine

🐾only 3 teefers (had a dental 2/22/2026), but eats well (I soak her dry food with water)
🐾gets along great with all our dogs & cats
🐾luxating rear patellas (slipping knee-caps) dont seem to bother her at all
🐾the minor trachea collapse doesnt bother her either (will need to wear a harness in lieu of a collar)
🐾grade 2/6 heart murmur, but her heart is strong ❤️

KING GEORGE - (PASSED💔💔💔, pending a vets assessment)

Oh George … When I heard about a blind old boston at the Madera Shelter, I knew I couldn’t allow him to sit in there through Thanksgiving & the long holiday weekend. So I drove my happy self to pick him up Thanksgiving morning 💕🦃. He was so scared & had a REALLY hard time settling. He is finally getting comfortable and seems to be feeling safe. Welcome King George, you are definitely a Lucky Dog❣️💕🐾

BOONE - (ADOPTED)

I can NOT believe I never posted Boone! Boone was found in Madera Ranchos by a friend of mine. He appeared to be severely ill but turrned out to be exhaustion & growing pains (easily treated/managed). Boone started out as a service dog candidate & did great. He fell severly ill due to an unknown/undiagnosed food allergy. He returned to Lucky Dog. Once diagnosed & back on his feet, he was adopted by another friend who was in great need of a therapy dog. Of course, baby boy Boone, did amazing & is a certified therapy dog at local hospitals. Oh Boone-y boy, you are definitely a Lucky Dog💕🐾 We are so proud of you & your human❣️

OPIE - (passed 💔💔, originally took in as hospice, would be open to adopting out to the perfect home)

Named Opie (off one of my favorite characters), this ole’ man found himself alone & scared at the shelter. He is blind, one eye is atrophied & the other eye is blind. He found himself on the euth list at a local shelter. We had an opening & swooped him up! He is so stinken sweet!! Itsy Bitsy needed a friend & loves her Opie. Welcome ole’ man, we love you❣️ Welcome to The Ranch💕🐾
