Welcome aboard! We are proud to have you be a part of our growing team to help address the traffic safety needs of our community!
Welcome to the Madera Area Officers!
Please join us in welcoming CHP Officers M. Cisneros, E. Jimenez, and M. Nires (left to right) to the California Highway Patrol Madera Area.
Madera Area Lieutenant Commander T. Santoro and Sergeant Hiura (pictured) are grateful to have them on our team.
The department recognizes the ongoing need for increased staffing and has increased our baseline staffing levels to better meet the needs of the community. Increased staffing means a greater ability to provide safety, service, and security throughout our county.
Welcome to Madera—we’re glad to have you on the team.

A couple of years ago, I first learned about their story and the incredible work they do for foster children in our community. Through Peanut's Closet, they help provide essential items like clothing, beds, mattresses, and other basic necessities that many foster kids urgently need.
If you’re able, please consider making a contribution to Peanut’s Closet and helping them continue this important mission.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Supervisor Jordan Wamhoff for his generous donation to Peanut's Closet a couple of weeks ago. Peanut's Closet supports foster, kinship, and reunifying families throughout our community.
What makes this gift especially meaningful is that within just two days of receiving Supervisor Wamhoff's donation, we were able to put those funds directly to work by assisting with a kinship placement for two children. Because of this support, these children were able to be placed with family members who could provide them with stability, connection, and care during a critical time.
This is the power of community partnership. Every contribution helps create real, immediate impact for children and families in need.
Thank you, Supervisor Jordan Wamhoff, for investing in the lives of vulnerable children and helping us strengthen families in our community. Your generosity made an immediate difference for two children and continues to make a difference where it matters most.
We recently had a ribbon cutting for Camarena Health in Madera Ranchos. This facility will bring preventative, dental, and routine health care closer to our families. We're thankful for their investment in our community.

I carefully chose this photo to post for Memorial Day.
A lone service member kneeling among the flags. Quiet. Humble. Reflective. No celebration. No politics. Just remembrance.
To me, this picture represents the weight carried by the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform and by the families who never got to welcome them home.
The United States is the greatest country on earth not because we are perfect, but because ordinary Americans have always been willing to stand up and defend it. Think about that for a second. Everyday people from small towns, big cities, farms, neighborhoods, and working-class families made the decision to raise their right hand knowing there was a possibility they may never come home again.
That belief in this country is special. It is rare. And it has been protected and preserved by those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Today is not about barbecues or a long weekend. It is about remembering the Americans who laid down their lives so the rest of us could live free, speak freely, raise our families, and pursue our own future.
We owe them more than a moment of acknowledgment. We owe them our gratitude, our respect, and our commitment to never forget what their sacrifice gave us.
Today we remember the fallen and honor those who gave everything for this country. 🇺🇸
