Today was a special day in the life of Piedmont Church.
This morning we officially joined the Soma Family of Churches. We are grateful for God’s faithfulness over the years and excited about what He has ahead as we partner with churches that share our heart for making disciples, planting churches, and living on mission together.
Providentially, our message today came from John 17, where Jesus prayed that His people would be one. Unity has always been God’s plan for His Church—not uniformity, but a shared mission centered on the Gospel.
As we look ahead, our mission remains the same: Love God. Love People. Invest in His Kingdom.
We’re thankful for every person who has been part of the story so far, and we can’t wait to see what God does next.
All relationships suffer when we continually do the very thing the other person has asked us not to do.
Yet somehow, when it comes to God, we often wonder why He feels distant.
The truth is, God didn't move.
We did.
Every time we choose sin over obedience, we take steps away from the One who created us, loves us, and knows what is best for us. We trade His design for our desires and then wonder why we feel disconnected.
Sin doesn't just break God's rules—it disrupts our fellowship with God.
The good news? The Father hasn't abandoned you. He's waiting for you to turn around and come home.
"If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth." — 1 John 1:6
