There is a new safety app for Mercer created by Dr. Ekong and his students. This app allows the user to contact Mercer Police directly via phone, for emergency issues, or email, for nonemergency issues. Mercer Police’s priority is the safety of our students and staff and we are excited for this to be shared around campus. The MU Safe app is available now in both the iOS and Android app stores. It can also be accessed from Mercer's official mobile app.

Mercer has established these phone numbers as weather hotlines (678) 547-6111 (Atlanta) and (478) 301-5335 (Macon). Please use these communication channels as your primary sources of information about Mercer operating schedules. Given the University’s multiple campuses and centers, information in the news media regarding Mercer closings and cancellations can be incomplete. A decision will be made by 10 a.m. today concerning evening classes on Tuesday and all Wednesday classes.
You can call the Mercer Weather Hotline at 478-301-5335 for the latest info concerning weather impact on Mercer activities, classes, and so forth. This is for all campuses. Any changes will be reported on local broadcast media, e-mail, and social media as well.
MACON STUDENTS:
If you have questions about why parking ticket fines are on your account, check your student e-mail for instructions on how to inquire about the fines. For questions concerning payment of the fine, check with the Office of the Bursar.
FOR THE MERCER STUDENTS:
1) Remember that the trolley makes the last trip back to campus at 3:00 AM when it is in operation.
2) When the trolley is at capacity (38 people), for safety reasons, it cannot carry any more people. Therefore, it is up to you, as responsible students, to either catch earlier trolleys, or have a backup plan for safely getting home.
3) Carry the phone number of a local cab company in your purse or wallet or have a designated driver who’d be willing to pick you up.

All students and staff are required to get parking decals with the start of new academic year or whenever they become part of the Mercer community, whichever comes first. Staff decals are generally handled through the department. Students must come into Mercer Police to get a decal if they have not yet received a current year decal. Current year decals expire August 15, 2014.
