Between my fingers
Words dance on tongue the mind plays
Rhythmic eardrums

Thugn

Perhaps
They'll eventually show up
To my funeral
Then again
I won't hold my breath

Hair Appeal Excerpt

These men merely desire a woman’s beauty, they'll pull-up an upgrade before lending delts/
While in the same breath proclaims natural beauty is 500 cc’s, a MAC blush brush & wefts/
He likes the longed hair thick redbones/
So she penny pinches for those virgin remy bundles/
Cause it has to be bone straight, loose- or body wave/
Hair that couldn’t stand a chance with waves/
You see, but this hair will never be washed up/
This hair can not be washed away/
It holds the voyage routes to reverse the transatlantic slave trade/
This hair will not be a beggar & it will rightfully claim its freedom/
A hair that expands beyond hair band
borders/
& it will not halt to a carrying holster/
It will apply great pressure until that muthf**ka snaps/
They must first ace beaming through thick edges before tryna to peel a cap back/
This wholly, & all of its coarseness & kink/
will swallow up the oceans
It is gluttonous w/ a fast metabolism
no wonder why it shrinks/
I heard Malaysian Color 370 (three seventy)/ bundles all of a sudden went missing/
My team of Type 4Bs swiftly executed Lockerbie/
Let the news anchor tell it, Devil's Sea conspiracies/
Hashtag Blame Obama/

Reg didn't budge & was down for a challenge. We alternated & then decided to restrict it to 5 words per line. It's our first time cowriting.

I'm hoping you'll spontaneously combust//
I've trained quite hard for this//
My mind body and soul completely ready to combust this//
mechanical error I exhaust pipes//
tie you up, hit the floor//
splinters make my back home//
that’s something I never chose//
a newness of pain full//
pop that pill breaking chains//
dive into a sweet abyss

Good Grief Mashups
..belting hymnals of hurt/it is me sniffling in between riffs & runs/boot kicking walls like a gotdamn bass drum//..I guess mistresses are allowed to mourn too/
I guess I don't need God's permission to stump her all through the pew//..who brings flowers to a funeral/

Now, I understand when someone once said how pain make amazing songwriters. I have so much to say in order to release. I'll forgive when I'm ready & won't allow anyone to guilt trip me for my being transparent.

Side note: I'm not sure how I'm able to work on multiple poems at once, but I do.
