Some people complain about paying for a trial, or that the trial should be significantly cheaper than the day of services👀 My services are already underpriced tbh, and I strive to keep it that way because I understand how expensive everything is, and especially for a wedding!
The thing is that stylists are responsible for and rely on high quality products, costing almost TRIPLE what supplies once cost.
We are responsible for paying weekly rent for the space clients come to for services.
We spend at least 1 sometimes 3 hours with each bride going over their favorite looks, trying out different positioning, tweaking makeup looks, creating a custom blueprint for wedding day, we handle logistics, take pictures, and all while making sure our clients feel like royalty.
We are basically on call to the bride whenever she needs to check in, and all of this should be FREE?
I’m sorry but I didn’t spend the last 25 years developing my craft, and studying my butt off for no reason.

Update: I am working at Aaron Scot salon on Vineville Ave!!

The beginning of 2020, I decided to start my own business. I have been through a pandemic, had some victories, had some losses , and learned plenty of helpful lessons.
I LOVE being a stylist.
I LOVE wedding work.
I LOVE fashion, art, makeup, and helping people reach their personal goals of self expression.
However, I feel my intuition is pulling me in a new direction. My intuition is telling me that it’s time I take care of myself— by freeing up more of my personal time for family, friends, my other passions, new adventures, new goals, and REST!

The most effective way for me to clear out space for things ahead, is for me to put Blush on hold right now, get back behind the stylist chair full time, and follow my instincts. I am still taking new clients, and doing special occasion services. However, I will no longer be booking large wedding parties or hiring freelance artists. At least, not until further notice.
