This weekend, our BFLA team stepped out of the classroom and into the escape room — and escaped Amnesia with just 45 seconds left on the clock! ⏰🔐

Watching our team problem-solve, communicate, and work together in a completely different setting was such a fun reminder of the strengths each person brings to BFLA every day.

Our toddlers are beginning to explore early writing skills by practicing how to hold and control their tools — building the foundation for future writing. What may look like simple marks are actually important first steps in developing fine motor strength, coordination, and confidence.

As part of our pond theme, our preschoolers brought their creativity to life by designing their very own ducks.

Using a variety of materials, children explored texture, color, and design while strengthening fine motor skills and creative expression. From coloring to assembling, each step encouraged independence, focus, and imagination.

Activities like this allow children to take ownership of their work while making meaningful connections to what they’re learning in the classroom.

Our toddlers were busy “building” their own meals — peeling, sticking, and carefully placing colorful food stickers onto their plates like true little chefs in action!

As they worked, we talked about healthy foods, food groups, and making balanced choices — identifying fruits, vegetables, proteins, and more. These conversations help build early awareness of nutrition while expanding vocabulary and comprehension.

This hands-on activity also strengthened:
✨ Fine-motor skills (those tiny muscles needed for writing later!)
✨ Hand-eye coordination
✨ Sorting & categorizing skills
✨ Decision-making and independence

They planned, communicated, adjusted their designs, and worked together beautifully to bring their vision to life.
