Windows 7 support is ending in January 2020, it seems registered copies can still upgrade to Windows 10 at no charge.

The Brother Printer app called Control Center is no longer supported on the latest Mac OS Catalina. Scanning is now done using Image Capture app in Catalina.

I saw this the other day on one of my computers and remember getting a phone call from a customer about this. It is a warning about your PC being infected, telling you not to shut it down and call a phone number. This is a scam, turn off your PC and do not call the number.

If you are on the internet and a website says you need to update Adobe flash, don't do it from their site. Update Adobe Flash Player from your Control Panel. View by large icons to see the Flash Player app. Or download the latest Flash Player from the Adobe website.

When you purchase a new PC don't forget to make sure it has all the latest Windows updates. New PC's will download and install updates automatically while you are working, but can slow it down until they are done.

When you buy a new computer with Windows 8, Microsoft will ask you to create an account. You can create a Microsoft account using your email address, but earlier Windows versions only created a local account with a user name, not an email address. Most people only need the local account.
