Today's new building term ..... "Shutter Dog".
How often do you see an undersized "faux" shutter ... that is permanently fastened to the exterior masonry wall.
Two 18" shutters installed on a 4' wide or wider window looks phoney baloney.
We custom build all of our FULLY OPERABLE shutters for each specific installation ... and secure the shutter with a "Shutter Dog" latch.
These handcrafted Western Red Cedar shutters are built to last a lifetime.
And if a bad hail storm is eminent (or a possible Indian Raid) ... just close the 2" thick shutters over the window. Simply as 1-2-3 ....
Or ... just leave them latched 'open' to enhance the beauty your home ... while answering the inquiring questions from the neighbors.

What a difference a day makes .... an instant lush green St. Augustine lawn in less than a day .... at the new home in Canyon Creek.
There were two ex-swimsuit models loitering about ... that I caught in a photo or two.
