Public notification!

Recently ours officers were able to locate and apprehend some suspects committing various car burglaries, potentially in the Cedar Creek Lake area. During the arrest, one suspect informed officers that a gaming console he was in possession of was stolen from a vehicle. Due to the amount of vehicles burglarized, the suspect was unable to tell officers where it came from.

If you were a victim of a vehicle burglary and are missing a gaming console please contact our office 903-887-8500 press 1 to speak with a dispatcher.

No details of the console will be provided in order to verify rightful ownership.

The Mabank Police Department has responded to multiple incidents of vehicles sliding off roadways in the last hour. In light of the anticipated decline in road conditions over the next several hours, we kindly request that all travelers exercise extreme caution if they must travel.

🚫 Fireworks Prohibited Within Mabank City Limits 🚫
Popping fireworks is not allowed inside the City of Mabank.
This includes firecrackers, rockets, and all consumer fireworks.
Please help keep our community safe and peaceful by following city ordinance.

Please be advised! A tractor trailer truck has taken down a critical power pole on 2nd street and Market street in downtown Mabank. All connecting roads have officers closing them off and redirecting traffic. This just happened. You can still make your way down Market Street to City Hall if you need to but the south end of Market street is without power. We will update as we go along!
