We put a lot of energy into our destinations. We put a lot of hope into the future. We project to a place we have not yet arrived like a new year, a new job, a new or improved relationship. These places are supposed to give us everything we want, satisfy us, and give us meaning. But what about now? What if, THIS IS ALL THERE IS? What if this moment holds all the love, hope, satisfaction and success we are seeking?

Sometimes big things happen fast. But the best things always take time. Love is one of those things. We are so grateful to have been able to enjoy the slow sweet deepening of our love and now a soul commitment to one another. Our prayer is that we can grow as individuals who share the same fertile ground and in turn nourish one another and our community. We chose to be married on our land and to be witnessed by few - all the while holding a space in our hearts for our loving community of family and friends. The act of marriage is the act of saying yes to growth, to struggle, to responsibility, to generosity, and to love. We say yes in the arms of another and the embrace of our beautiful collective.

10 years ago, a girl came on my retreat with her mom in Baja — and something about that week stuck with her. Her name is Rena, and now, a decade later, she’s leading her own retreat - www.luanaretreats.com, pouring her heart into creating a space that changed her life once before.

She wrote this, and I couldn’t be more proud to share it:

“10 years ago, I went on a retreat in Baja with my mama — led by a man named David who unknowingly changed my life. Something cracked open in me that week. I was just a kid, but I remember feeling something I hadn’t before: freedom, presence, me.

Growing up, yoga and retreats were always a part of my world, but somewhere along the way — trying to be someone I wasn’t — I lost that connection.

It wasn’t until I found the ocean, started surfing, returned to my practice, and began reconnecting with my spirituality that I started to truly find myself again.

Now, I finally get to create that space for you.

A space to slow down. To move. To dive deep — into the water, into your body, into your soul. This retreat is for those who feel a little lost, a little stuck, or just ready to remember who they are.

I am bringing together a small and intimate group of women to surf, dive, breathe, journal, move, and step into the most aligned version of ourselves.
