Today's training gave our crew a chance to study live fire behavior in action.
By watching Firefighters are able to better understand how fire moves, grows, vents, and reacts in different conditions. Trainings like this help build safer, smarter firefighters both on the fireground and in our community.
Every drill, conversation, and training opportunity helps prepare our crew for the moments that matter most.

Please be aware the Burn to learn fire located at 46550 Lyons Mill City Drive will continue to burn and smolder throughout the evening and likely through the weekend. A night watchman has been provided, and the fire department is aware and continuing to monitor the situation.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Freres Wood for donating the property for training purposes. Thanks to their support, crews were able to complete 6 live fire training evolutions.
Great work by all involved. Job well done
REMINDER TODAY , May 16th at 9:00 am
Lyons Fire District will be conducting a controlled structure "burn-to-learn" training at
46550 E Lyons Mill City Dr, Lyons OR.
Training operations will continue throughout the day, and smoke and flame may be visible in the area during that time.
We kindly ask that everyone use caution in the surrounding area, as traffic may be affected during operations. Please do not stop along the roadway to view the fire, as doing so creates additional safety hazards and may interfere with personnel.
Thanks to generous property donations, these live fire exercises allow our firefighters to refine their skills and knowledge in a safe and controlled environment, ensuring the utmost quality fire response to our community.
Lyons Fire District thanks you for your continued support and cooperation.
