While the summer season hasn't officially begun, the heat is certainly already here! We know many days of high temperatures are ahead over the next few months, including this coming weekend.
Afternoon heat index values of 100-105° are possible beginning this Friday and going through Sunday, and we want to share a few reminders to keep you, your family, and those around you safe during times of higher temperatures and heat index values!
Here are 4 tips to help you keep your cool:
🥤💧Drink plenty of water.
🚴Limit outdoor activity during the daytime.
👕Wear loose, light-colored clothing.
🚗Never leave children or pets in the car for any length of time!
For additional tips on ways to beat the heat, view the image below and also visit https://www.weather.gov/safety/heat.
