Best of Montclair Guide 2024: Nominate Your Favorite Local Businesses! Our fourth annual Best of Montclair 2024 Guide is back! Submit as many nominations as you want from now until Tuesday, November 12th.

How to provide a great path of success for young stylists :

1. Provide mentorship and support: Offer guidance and advice to young stylists to help them feel more at ease within the salon and encourage them to attend industry events to learn new skills.

2. Listen to their ideas: Let young stylists express their own creative ideas. Encourage them to think outside the box and listen to their suggestions.

3. Create a welcoming environment: Make sure young stylists feel accepted and appreciated within your salon. Show an interest in their opinions and ideas and make sure to provide recognition for a job well done.

4. Give them opportunities: Offer young stylists the chance to participate in projects or have a role in the salon that allows them to demonstrate their skills and give them responsibility.

5. Encourage education: Support young stylists to attend classes and workshops to further hone their skills and gain the necessary qualifications to progress their career.

I believe my communication style behind the chair is what makes me successful.

Each one of my guests have different stories. Discovering them on a personal level to better understand their needs on maintence is KEY.

I never want someone to say to them, dam, you need to go see the hairstylist.

Each of these guests booked their next appointment, they know their maintence, and It may be different for each of them, but It works for them.

I won’t see until she’s back from college.

goes 6 months (that’s why we do low maintence balayage)
