The owner of this Mercedes SL550 was complaining that their key no longer worked after replacing the vehicles battery. With the right equipment we were able to quickly determine that the failure was coincidental and it was actually the key itself that had failed. Car was back on the road the same day.

Yesterday was mostly a euro car day. One client got a spare for their 2014 Audi A6. Another washed and ruined their only key for a 2008 GL450(w164), they now have two new working keys. Managed to sneak in a GM ignition rebuild for a fleet in between.

​I’ve spent so much time inside these assemblies over the last few days that I’m starting to see lock cylinders and clock springs in my sleep. This makes #3 for the week!
​It’s tedious, precision work, but there’s nothing like the feeling of everything clicking back together perfectly.

The only smart key this client had for their 2019 volvo was physically damaged and not working. We were tasked with adding 2 new smart keys to the vehicle. While using Volvo factory tool to program keys, we found the vehicle was in need of an overall software. We took care of this at the same time while plugged in. The original smart key and new smart keys still had no remote or proximity functions. Found that the Multiband antenna under the vehicles sharkfin antenna was not communicating on the data network. After lowering headliner, found water damage to the module from a leaking gasket on the roof. With part replaced all functions were restored.

Over the last few years, availability on keys from Mercedes has been less and less. For many models, Mercedes can only help you if you have lost all your keys. This process can take 3 weeks to 6 months. No spares are available from dealer for many models. We are equipped to take care of these keys same day for spares or all keys lost. Rock beats scissors, paper beats rock. Sometimes, mouse beats coyote. This ford with a coyote 5.0 engine had a misfire on two cylinders. A rodent chewed through one injector wire and one coil wire behind the intake manifold. We were able to repair this without too much tear down and got everything working as it should.

Client complaint of "inaccurate fuel gauge" on this BMW X5. After a gauge self test passed, inspected wiring at both fuel level senders. Found rodent damage to the LH sending unit wiring. Quick repair, and all is working as it should.

Is your Honda/Acura ignition starting to get hard to turn? This is a sign that the wafers in the ignition lock cylinder are wearing out, and is about to leave you stranded. Last picture shows the wear in detail. We stock all parts needed to get you back on the road today. In this situation we typically rebuild the ignition cylinder, and replace all keys to prevent the wear cycle from re-starting prematurely.

Modern day diesel vehicles have some very advanced emissions systems in place. Sometimes even the smallest issue can put the vehicle into limp mode. This limits speed to 50mph to get you home or to a shop. This f350 had codes for reductant quality module and a warning on dash for Def tank empty. Tank was just filled. We were able to verify that there was no 12v power source to the reductant quality module. Found the harness chafed through on some factory welding slag on the frame. Thankfully damage was easily repairable and this truck is back on the road and driving as it should.
