Konrath Family Sells Horicon Ace Hardware

David and Sandi Konrath sold Horicon Ace Hardware to their daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Vance Mattila, on January 1, 2025. From left are Dave, Emma, Sandi, Charlee, Jolene, Vance, Ren and Kristine.

Vance and Kristine were eager to make the purchase from Dave and Sandi who were ready to pass the torch. Vance shared that they desired to continue Dave and Sandi’s legacy and want to give their children the opportunity to be the fourth-generation owners in the future.
Vance wanted to leave the community with this message: “Happy retirement, Dave! He is definitely going to be missed.” He added, “Ultimately, the same great individual service level you come to expect will not change.”

141 Speedway “Car Wars” race Recap.

Heat: 6th➡️4th
Feature: 1st➡️3rd

Overall, not a bad evening at the track for a race that was last minute. Thank you goes out to Timmy Current with Darkside Promotions and Tim Czarneski for the added purse and for putting on another amazing event to cap of the season.

We had a good battle with Shawn throughout the feature while watching Cole drive away from us but we cannot complain bringing the car home in one piece.

This was our final race of the season and now starts the long offseason. We will begin getting the car tore down and going through everything to ensure that we are ready to go well before the season starts.
