Prevention of Dog Bites
An estimated 4.5 million dog bites occur annually in the U.S. This estimation may be low because not all victims of dog bites report the incident and/or seek medical attention for the injury.
Although dog bites can be unprovoked, dogs may bite for a variety of reasons that arenβt overtly apparent. The cause may be as basic as the dog not feeling well or being in pain due to illness or injury. Regular veterinary care can help monitor and maintain an animalβs health. The dog also could be stressed and bite to defend itself, its territory or something of value to it, like a puppy, food or toys. The animal may have been startled or feel scared or threatened.

π Disciplining cats with yelling, sq**rt bottles, or physical punishment can:
π© Increase fear and stress
π© Lead to more unwanted behaviors
π© Damage your bond with your cat
π© Make it harder for your cat to learn new habits
Instead of punishment, change your behavior and use positive reinforcement.

Your cat is hiding pain right now β and you might not even know it. π±
Cats are experts at concealing ear pain. By the time you notice, the infection has already spread.
Watch for these signs:
π΄ Head shaking or tilting
π΄ Scratching ears constantly
π΄ Dark crumbly discharge (ear mites)
π΄ Bad odor from the ear
π΄ Loss of balance
Never use cotton swabs, human ear drops, or home remedies like vinegar β they make it worse.
See your vet at the first sign. Ear disease can become serious if left untreated.
Save this post β your cat can't tell you when something hurts. πΎ"

July 4th is right around the corner and while fireworks can be fun for us, it can be highly stressful for our pets.
Here are two key ways you can help keep your pet safe:
β‘οΈ Refill Calming Meds Early: If your pet gets anxious from loud noises, don't wait, contact us now to refill their medication. A current exam is required for prescriptions.
β‘οΈ Microchipping Matters: If your pet escapes, a microchip is the best way to maximize your odds of getting them back quickly. It's quick, permanent, and can't fall off like a collar.
