I’ve been inspired by 2 Misty Doan projects in the past 2 weeks. These are fun, sassy and quick - the perfect combo!
I saw watermelon slices in Misty’s Lemon Squeezy table topper, of course.
For the stars and stripes table runner, the red colorways of Texas wildflowers called to me. Such fun projects these were!

Visage and I have gathered an interesting assortment of sewing and embroidery things to move to new homes. Like, 4 unique frou-frou (a highly technical term) squares 17x17 I made in a class - a Brother Project Runway sewing machine - a light box - many bags of great fabric (cotton cashmere, linen, batiste, silk) - a bag of needlepoint supplies - a bag o’batting scraps - and so on. Come on down to 1627 Twin Island tomorrow to shop a little. The sale begins at 9.

Not all stretch needles are the same. They are engineered for different types of knits; the right needle can make all the difference in the world. ;)

Sewing knits? Use a Jersey or Stretch needle. Both needles have a medium ballpoint, but the Stretch needle has a smaller eye and deeper scarf. Sometimes Jersey & Stretch are interchangeable, but not always. Test.
