2026 is the year of Operational Excellence for the City of Lula!

Efficiency and transparency in municipal government start with strong internal frameworks. This year, I have developed and will present a strategic roadmap to Mayor Bruce Lane and City Council that is focused on making our city government more resilient, organized, and prepared for the unexpected. My 2026 Goals and Initiatives prioritize strengthening our Emergency Operations (EOC), ensuring we are fully prepared for FEMA/GEMA disaster assistance, and finalizing essential Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery plans. From establishing clear SOPs for city events to securing our digital assets, these initiatives are about building a professional foundation that protects our residents and our future.

My 2026 Strategic Roadmap Includes:

Emergency Management: EOC establishment, FEMA/GEMA coordination, and Disaster Event Runbooks.

Operational Continuity: Continuity of Operations Planning, Disaster Recovery, and Event Planning (Small/Medium/Large) Runbooks.

IT & Asset Management: ITSM system, CMDB tracking, and Data Classification Security Policies.

Policy & Governance: Comprehensive policy updates to include Ethics, Communication and Public Relations policy, and Workplace Safety.

On this Memorial Day, we express our deepest gratitude to the heroes who paid the ultimate price for our liberty. Their bravery allows us to live the lives we do. Let's remember their sacrifice and cherish our freedom.

Today, we honor our Veterans. Beginning as Armistice Day November 11, 1918, marking the end of World War I, Veterans Day, we honor all men and women who have served as Soldiers, Guardians, Airmen, Marines, or Sailors, volunteers and draftees alike. Each one answered our nation’s call with service and sacrifice. This is not only a time to recognize each veteran’s extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, but also to recognize the support from parents, spouses, children, brothers and sisters of those who have served and are still serving today. Thank you to all Veterans for keeping America the Land of the Free.
