After almost a year after the flood, the water is clear & our dock was finally found and retrieved. We were sure it was in Long Island Sound somewhere but it never left Lake Pauline!

Russ & I returned from Ludlow last night. We managed to salvage some wood & the fire pit. We helped out neighbors to the best of our ability before heading home.

The cabin managed to escape damage but we did lose our dock. We were very, very lucky!
There were guests at the cabin during the flooding last week. Luckily they were able to safely evacuate on Tuesday but they sent this video.
Flooding has isolated Ludlow. No way in or out. Saying prayers for all who have to be out trying to make things safe for the rest of us. 🙏 Be safe out there, things can be replaced but you can’t!

Luckily we had pre-arranged to have some tree cutting done because we spent the spring and summer with our ‘Covid Crew’ of friends cutting and splitting wood! We are still burning that wood in 2022 even after giving as much away to our neighbors that we could!
