Day 3 (last day!) of this year’s May Seminar included conference-style presentations by third-year student cohorts who practiced delivering their research projects to a room-sized audience, with moderated Q&As. Lunch keynote featured a panel of faculty, administrator, and university leaders who led a conversation on academic labor and institutions.

The second lunch keynote of this year’s May Seminar was given by Dr. Stuart Selber, Professor of English and Director of Digital Education at Penn State. While Dr. Selber delivered his talk via distance, the students and faculty members were captivated by his practical heuristics for (re)framing AI competencies in technical communication. Day 2 of our May Seminar began with a research network forum, where second-year cohort members present their research ideas to peers and faculty members in a mid-paced, rotating feedback format.
