Happy last day of classes! For their final project in their Graduate Trumpet Literature Class, our DMA students presented on short recital works to the whole studio. We got some great ideas for repertoire to play from them. Great work! 👏

The Hub City and Graduate Brass Quintets have been busy this weekend! Both groups performed at IGNITE! and gave full recitals. Wonderful and expressive playing by all! 👏

Such an amazing IGNITE! program last night! Our trumpet studio members were featured in many ensembles throughout the program. It was also wonderful to see all of our studio perform together to open the concert. Congratulations to TTU trumpet student Tate Searcy on the world premiere of his new composition and thank you to graduate conductor and trumpeter Rich Zec for conducting our performance!

- IGNITE! is free and open to the public.
- Concert will be in the Buddy Holly Hall-Helen DeVitt Jones Theater.
- Parking is free. Available parking in the South parking lot.
- Research Poster Session begins at 6:30 pm.
- Concert begins at 7:30 pm with a brief intermission.
- IGNITE! features bold and impactful sound. Earplugs may be necessary.

Dress rehearsal for Ignite is underway! We will be opening the program with a fanfare titled “Bells of Scarlet” written by TTU Trumpet Studio member Tate Searcy. 🎺 See you tomorrow!
