Thinking about our Summer Edition of Senior Link Magazine:
As we consider the reasons we celebrate the 250th Birthday of the U.S.A., Lubbock Senior Link is actively looking for stories that honor the people in our community who have made contributions toward building the American values we all hold dear.
• America began as a colony of small towns. Do you know of a small town in our area who is celebrating something?
• Do you know of a business on the South Plains who is celebrating a milestone birthday?
• Perhaps you know of an immigrant family who came to America with very little but who have embraced their adopted country and made their own mark.
• Maybe you know of a family who has been on the South Plains for many generations, quietly making a difference.
• From its earliest roots, West Texans have a reputation of helping their neighbors. If you know of a non-profit that needs to be highlighted, let us know!
We would love your help in putting together a special commemorative issue celebrating not only America but also the people on the South Plains who are making our country better with their presence and their unique gifts.
Please message me with your thoughts, ideas and suggestions!
