Praying for strength and peace for the Matthews and WTR family.

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Corky Matthews, the popular and proud owner of the West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas. He had an unwavering commitment to racing. He gave new life to the West Texas Raceway and nursed it back where it needed to be. His legacy will continue to live on.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends and the entire racing community including the racers who made such good friends with him during the past few years. He will be missed immensely.
