Happy international women’s day to all of our cattlewomen. Women make up 36% of all producers in the country and we watch that number grow every year! Today we encourage you to remember the women who paved the way for us as the future generation. As we look back, we also look forward to the women that we admire and support and remember there is room for all of us to be a part of this wonderful industry! Happy international women’s day ladies🩷💐🌷

This past Wednesday we had our first meeting of the year! Emma Coffman came and spoke to our chapter about being a woman in agriculture, college, her post graduate experiences, and career. We continued with the February theme of love and decorated cookies along with a contest. We announced and opened TSCRA applications to attend the conference with us (if you would like to stay in Ft. Worth and register separately but attend the conference with the association please let us know!) We also are currently accepting dues for the Spring 2025 semester as well to become a member. We can’t wait to see more of you ladies as the year continues and so grateful for Emma taking time out of her day to come speak to us.

Calling all Cattlewomen! Our first meeting of 2025 will be on February 26th at 5PM in the animal science building! We are excited to welcome the NCBA Beef Advocate of the year ! Please be ready to pay through cash or venmo 25 dollars to pay for the spring dues for the year. We are excited to see and meet all of you ladies and if you are interested in joining and are unable to make it please DM us. We can’t wait to see yall!

LSCR is home to over 150,000 head of beef and dairy cross such as Angus/Jersey, Jersey cows and Holstein baby calves.
