HOORAY for workbooks AND for questions like, “Can we do the next lesson?”

We would like to shout out a big THANK YOU to Mr. Mike, our maintenance man.

From repairing the AC, airing up balls, raising tables, unjamming locks, and all the other tasks! We are grateful beyond words!

The kids always ask, “Where is Mr. Mike?”, if his truck is not in its spot by 10am!

Education is one of the most labor-intensive industries in the world but Mr. Mike is a man of ACTION!

Got to school this morning and it’s Christmas over here!!

Yay for curriculum and workbooks!

While we love our computers and technology as a resource, we believe that putting pen to paper as much as possible, especially for early learners is crucial!

This is what small classrooms look like!

Some are working, some are taking a break in our side yard.

All are working at their own pace and level.

Smaller classes provide the flexibility and ability to meet each students needs where they are at all day long!

We are so excited to have a spot on The Pumpkin Trail this year!

We began incorporating science curriculum this week and are learning all about animal needs!

We learned to:
SEE
THINK
WONDER
and document it in our science journals.

Follow along for some pretty cute animal fun next week!

Sometimes we work, and sometimes we play! We believe that’s how it should be for children.

We spent our first week getting to know each other personally and academically (sneaking in some assessments here and there, formally and informally!).

Mostly, we connected.
We built relationships.
We built trust.
We built support.
We built a safe space.

We built a Class Family!
