Lowell Association for the Blind - LAB

On Saturday, our Youth and Senior Youth Programs came together to create something special to give to their dads for Father’s Day. They worked on making homemade taco seasonings which dad could use up to four servings. Everyone’s creativity of decorating their gift boxes came out great!

This past weekend, our VIP Program headed to Animal Adventures for an exciting day with the animals. Some of the animals included bunnies, various reptiles, peacocks, a Hyland cow and an Indian blue fowl!

The Youth program will be hosting an Open House for participants whom are either signed up and haven’t attended yet or for those looking to sign up. This is a 5-14yr old group. This event is ONLY for new enrollees who have not yet attended any of the previous events.

Saturday, our Senior Teen Employment Program (STEP) came together for a cooking skills session making various treats for Mother’s Day. They helped make two ingredient fudge, strawberry fruit dip, and turkey dill pin wheels.

Yesterday was the first ever beep baseball game held at Fenway Park featuring the Boston Strong and Boston Renegades! A few of our clients that attend our programs played in both teams and it was the perfect weather to go watch them play!

We had an amazing time with our Senior Youth Program this past weekend. For the first time, they had their March Madness day at TJL Training-Elite Basketball court, in Lowell MA. Shooting hoops and pickup games ran at both ends of the court. Everyone enjoyed it and requested to do it again in the future!

This past weekend, our Youth and Senior Youth Programs had their annual holiday party at the office. They had their Yankee swap gift exchange and a visit from Santa! Everyone enjoyed a whole variety of food and treats. From the entire Youth program, we hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season!

On Tuesday December 9th the Lowell Association for the Blind Adult Program had their annual holiday party ! Yankee swap , pictures with Santa and Abby the amazing elf delivering our food from Bertucci’s Chelmsford .
