We were so excited to read about the new Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Reverend Sarah Mallally, entering her new calling with a pilgrimage of historic significance. May God's blessing be upon her as she leads the church.

Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite holiday traditions. It evokes sweet memories from my childhood where tree decorating was always a family affair. As adults, Eric and I have collected ornaments when we travel. Every year, on the first weekend of December, we relive those memories and give thanks for the people we shared them with. (Lest you think we’re too sentimental, we do it while watching “Christmas Vacation!”)
Do you have a favorite Advent or Christmas tradition? Maybe it’s at church, maybe it’s at home, or maybe it’s something you’ve picked up while traveling. Share in the comments. I’d love to know!

We’re grateful for these words from Rev. Roberto of Coastlands Presbytery. When logistics run smoothly, they create space for the real work of pilgrimage.
Love getting ready for pilgrimage with a good book? Or still looking for a Christmas gift for the traveler in your life? You’re in the right place!
Before each pilgrimage, we put together a simple set of reading resources to help you arrive with a little more context and curiosity. We share those with every group, and you’re always welcome to explore our book shop as well. There you’ll find titles connected to the places we visit Scotland, the Holy Land, Ireland, and more, so your journey can begin long before you board the plane.

We had the incredible blessing of traveling with 330 pilgrims to nine different countries in 2025! We are deeply grateful for the openness, wonder, and trust each person brought to the journey. We also celebrate our incredible partners around the world - old friends and new friends alike - who help make sure our pilgrims have delightful, world-expanding experiences. And a big shout-out to our incredible spiritual guides who weave together diverse experiences into a meaningful pilgrimage. We wish you all a blessed Advent and a very merry Christmas season. Joy to the world, indeed!
Wherever you gather and whomever you are with, may there be many blessings on your Thanksgiving table!

A pilgrimage is more than just a trip. As you pack your bags to travel, you might also reflect on these four questions to help you be a pilgrim, not a tourist.
