Project Kompass
Project Kompass is more than a program ... it’s a community! Rooted in compassion. Driven by impact. Project Kompass is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Project Kompass is a nonprofit supporting young women (18–24), new moms, and babies through secure transitional housing—while also serving individuals and families through the Project Kompass Community Center with food access, community connections, and crisis support. Together, we’re building stability, dignity, and stronger futures.

I am incredibly honored to have been recognized at the 2026 Celebration Day hosted by Children's Trust and to receive the 2026 Community Champion Award.
Thank you to Healthy Families of Lowell for this meaningful nomination and for the partnership we have built over the years. Together, we have worked to support young women, young families, and individuals facing some of life's greatest challenges.
What began as a vision to help those who often fall through the cracks has grown into Project Kompass, our Transitional Housing Program, and the Project Kompass Community Center. Along the way, I have had the privilege of working alongside amazing staff, volunteers, community partners, and supporters who make this work possible every day.
This recognition is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone who believes in our mission and helps create opportunities for others to move from crisis to stability and from stability to success.
Thank you for allowing me to do work that I truly love.
One Mission. Many Paths.

We are honored and grateful to announce that Project Kompass has been awarded a $25,000 grant from The Philanthropy Connection as part of its 2026 grantmaking initiative.
Project Kompass was selected as one of three organizations recognized for advancing recovery, stability, and economic mobility by helping individuals overcome significant challenges and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
This funding will support both our Transitional Housing Program for women ages 18-24 and the Project Kompass Community Center, helping us continue to provide housing, mentorship, life skills, employment support, resource navigation, and essential services to those working toward greater independence and stability.
We are especially proud that our Board Chair, Dave Aldrich, represented Project Kompass at the Grant Awards Ceremony. Since day one, Dave has been a passionate advocate for our mission, helping build partnerships and expand opportunities for those we serve.
At Project Kompass, we believe there is no single path to success. Every day, we remain committed to helping individuals move from crisis to stability and from stability to success.
**One Mission. Many Paths.**
Thank you to The Philanthropy Connection, our partners, supporters, staff, volunteers, and the incredible individuals and families who inspire our work every day.

Thank you, GLCF. Your support is more than funding. It is hope, opportunity, and the belief that every person deserves the chance to succeed. We are grateful for your partnership and all that you do for Greater Lowell.

If you’ve spent any time at the PKCC, chances are you’ve seen Mema and her loving family.
They brighten our days with their smiles, their laughter, and the genuine care they show one another. They remind us that some of life’s greatest gifts are friendship, support, and simply knowing someone is there for you.
We often say that everyone is welcome at the Project Kompass Community Center, and families like Mema’s are a beautiful example of why that matters.
Every person who walks through our doors has a story. Every story matters. We are honored to be a small part of their journey and grateful for the trust they place in us.
Thank you, Mema and family, for reminding us what community, kindness, and connection truly look like.
💙 One Mission. Many Paths. 💚🧡

Today, our staff had the opportunity to step away for a little while and show our support for one of our favorite community partners, The Wish Project.
This is always one of our favorite events of the year. The impact The Wish Project has on local families is nothing short of remarkable, providing essential items, hope, and dignity to those facing challenging times.
We are grateful for their partnership, their compassion, and their unwavering commitment to our community. Thank you for all that you do.

What started as a gathering of a dozen women has grown into an event that now brings together hundreds.
Today, Project Kompass was honored to host the 9th Annual Just Because Brunch, a celebration of connection, support, and community. A special thank you to Vanna Howard for helping this incredible event continue to grow year after year.
Everyone is welcomed. Everyone belongs. And for a few hours, women come together simply because they deserve it.
Thank you to all who made today so special.
