Tucker Elementary

We wrapped up the school year with a burst of creativity, teamwork, and innovation. Over the last 2 weeks, our students have engaged in more STEM learning! Tucker supported The Samaritan House by collecting cereal boxes for domino runs! By working in K–5 teams, they mastered spacing, momentum, and structural stability to turn charity into a chain reaction!
Kindergarten kiddos designed and built kites, experimented with wind resistance and material weight. 🪁
1st Grade: Explored the science of light and shadows, classifying materials as transparent, translucent, or opaque. Additionally, they spent time designing creative ways (like elevators, slides, and foam ball pits) for Rapunzel to safely escape her tower! 🏰
2nd Grade: Inspired by Rosie Revere, Engineer, students built "Flying Machines" to transport Rosie safely across a classroom zip line! ✈️
3rd Grade: After learning how fossils teach us about the past, students went on an "archaeological dig" using toothpicks to carefully excavate and map chocolate chips from cookies. 🍪
Thanks to Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria in Rogers, our 4th graders harnessed the power of the sun by building solar ovens to cook up some delicious (and renewable!) s’mores. ☀️🍫

We want to say a big Titan thank you to Carroll Electric Cooperative who brought a ✨magical✨ show to our students to teach us all about electrical safety! We appreciate community partners who come share with us and bring a little fun along with them. Ask your child what they learned today!
