One year ago today Chasing Midnight Podcast launched on all streaming platforms! 🎉🥂
In honor of that, let’s do a get to know you so I can reintroduce myself to my new folks!!

“CMP” stands for both Chasing Midnight Podcast & Chasing Midnight Paranormal, though they are two separate entities… just both my brain child.

After establishing the podcast, I decided to also start filming paranormal content with my friends since I already had the brand up & going.
Personally, I’ve had unexplainable experiences for as long as I can remember, dating back to when I was a youngin’ sharing a bunk bed with my sister. So in high school I decided enough was enough, my curiosity heightened, & I knew I had to just dive right into it… now it’s just filmed & uploaded as well. 🙂‍↕️

I have been exploring the paranormal for a good 10 years now, & even have a Certified Paranormal Investigator certification from TFU through the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science.

In my mind, CMP is for my eclectic people. The loners, outcasts, “weirdos”. You are wanted here & I’m so glad to have you— I am one of you. That’s why if you ever watch CMP on YouTube, it’s meant to feel like we’re just hanging out. Besties having a sleepover telling spooky stories, if you will. 🖤

A little about me: I am a single mom to my 6 y/o son who my universe happily revolves around!! I’ve been out of the medical field for 3 years now, though I am still a Certified Associate of Biomedical Technology through 2027. My brain is hardwired for STEM; it’s what I’m good at. I go at everything scientifically first, so you will never see any paranormal evidence falsified or dramatized. Sorry, not sorry.
If we don’t get activity from somewhere, we tell you that & it just is what it is (though not due to lack of trying).

All that to say, over the past year my little project has reached thousands of people worldwide…
According to the data on my host platform, not including YouTube, CMP has been played from:
the US, Sweden, Vietnam, Mexico, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Finland, Brazil, & Norway.

I’ve made so many new friends through the paranormal community, & have even been featured on TV news segments & on a radio station in the UK. I’ve had fellow podcasters interview us, & I’ve interviewed some pretty awesome folks myself.

Needless to say, this tiny show has brought so many new opportunities to me & I couldn’t be more grateful for the following I have for CMP as a whole. I have so much fun with it & I hope that’s evident when you watch or listen.

Alright, I’ll quit yapping… or at least while I don’t have a microphone in front of me.

Hey friends 🖤
Bear with my long post- y’all know I love to yap. But if I’m being honest, posting hasn’t been my top priority lately. I’ll go through phases where I’m excited about creating content to share with you & will make 8 different TikToks in one sitting or will research for 5 hours straight for an episode.

But I’ll also have phases where I never want to pick my phone up at all & just be disconnected from the internet for a bit. That doesn’t bode well for someone who has to keep up engagement & views to be recognized/discovered. But, ultimately, I started CMP to discover my own passions & find my identity outside of being a mom. Over the past year, it’s morphed into such an eclectic community that I already cherish so deeply!!

While looking through these pictures & trying to figure out what I wanted to say, I kept coming back to one thing: I want Chasing Midnight to feel like ME. I want my content, my captions, my work, & the experience you get listening to the podcast or watching our ghostly ventures on YouTube to feel authentic & genuine.
Nothing’s ever staged, nothing’s faked, & sometimes that can be boring, I know! Trust that going through hours of footage to clip a 2-second whisper or shadow figure is tiring for me too.
Sometimes I’m left with very little to clip & post, but in the end I cherish honesty & that’s what you’ll get every time.

Paranormal investigation is something my team & I both have fun with & take seriously, so I’m not necessarily just popping those videos out quickly in hopes of landing on a FYP. Every second of every video is thoroughly filtered through & edits are made where needed so you don’t have to sit through an hour of boring. This takes a while as my son is my top priority, so sometimes CMP takes a major backseat. That being said… hold onto your britches ‘cause the Waverly Hills video IS coming! 🥹

On the other hand, in the spirit of transparency, deep diving & researching true crime cases every week has inevitably taken a mental/emotional toll. I’m sure you can imagine, but I try to bring you both notorious & lesser known cases… but the severity of the crimes doesn’t change.
Trying to figure out the WHY by looking into the person’s upbringing, reading court transcripts word for word (sometimes for hours), digging through crime scene photos, watching interviews & interrogations… confessions… WHEW.

CMP will be taking a small step back from the topic of true crime. I’ll still bring you cases I can’t stop thinking about (working up one I hope you’ll recognize right now), but I do want to shift over to the more mysterious & mind-boggling kind of stories instead. Think… Cryptids. Aliens. Cults. Paranormal. Imagine weird sh*t on the internet with a true crime case when I see fit.
Even the occasional funnier episode because I just wanna have fun with you.
