The Grow More Mow Less program seeks to reduce lawn-related air pollution in Louisville Metro by encouraging landowners to switch to low-mow landscaping.

Grow More Mow Less is sponsored by the Louisville Metro APCD. If your grass is using you more than you use it, it might be time for a change! By converting some or all of your turfgrass into low-mow alternatives, you can save time, money, and hassle--and help keep our air clean all at the same time.

This page aims to provide information about growing more and mowing less, but what does that actually mean?

At it's core, Grow More Mow Less means to limit how much you have to mow your lawn by replacing grass with plants that do not need as much maintenance.

Last month, we awarded West End Women's Collaborative with the Lawn Care for Cleaner Air Community Grant. This grant gives a package of professional-powered electric lawn equipment to a non-profit organization in Jefferson County.

Last week we visited the West End Women's collaborative to unbox and prepare the equipment for use!

If you want to make the switch, you can get rebates on electric lawn equipment year round: Louisvilleky.gov/LCCA
