3 Surprising Ways To Feel Less Busy
Yes - life is busy…. life is full.
Busy is not going to go away.
Here are three surprising and simple ways to feel less busy.
1 - Stop skipping breaks.
Always rushing, always going sure works against you.
It’s okay to hit pause for 2 minutes and take a breath.
Best way to practice is in the morning!
Make time for you to ease into your busy day.
2- Stop Multitasking
Trying to do everything, all the time is not only exhausting, it’s impossible to truly be efficient!
Focus on one task at a time.
I love using giant index cards to fix my focus.
My guardrail is 5 tasks written every three lines.
Once these are finished only then can I see what’s next.
3 - Stop using the word BUSY
When you begin to shift your mindset to viewing your schedule, your day, your life as “full” instead of “busy”, it puts YOU back in control and reframes your entire day.
Better than busy because a full life is rich, it’s happiness, it’s contentment.
The next time you’re ready to use the word busy, swap for one of these and see how it feels!

A reminder for when you are getting all stressed out...
It is too easy to get sucked into the unnecessary drama, stress and chaos of the holidays and totally lose sight of what really matters.
Avoid the trap of wishing away your days for better ones ahead.

Life doesn't magically get better or easier because it's NOT your circumstances that are the problem...
..it's your outlook on life that gets distorted.
SO Keep it in check!
Take a step back and do a quick inventory of everything you DO have...
- the blessings in your life
- the people you appreciate
- the good in your day
- the joy in your beating heart
Notice as you breathe in the reality of what is, how much lighter you begin to feel.
Life is MEANT to be EnJOYed!

What Changed?
Now this question required a different type of digging.
To back up a bit, I started to think about moving away from WORKOUTS of the MONTH because I didn't feel like 'working out on the back deck' was what I wanted my job to be for the next decade.
I was pushing 45 and forecasting where I wanted to be when I turned 50.
Plus my approach to coaching had shifted to be more well-rounded to help Moms live their best life and the emphasis on monthly workouts felt pretty narrow.
About that same time, I fell into the trap that so many people do.
I got 🌟'shiny object syndrome'🌟.
You see, the online business gurus at that time were all about having a SIGNATURE COURSE....
... and I was like I NEED TO HAVE ONE!!
YUP!
I very much so thought I needed a detailed course on every aspect of designing your ideal life to help Moms continue on their journey.
YET the more I got to work in mapping out what all this would entail...
.. the more it distracted me.
I was missing the most obvious and significant driver of our community....
.. the magic was in the 💖 connection, not the curriculum.
It took this giant (and painful) fail for me to recognize that coaching and connection to a community were not only what my Moms needed...
.. but it was what brought me the most joy.
An important reframe for my workouts also took place.
My workouts were an opportunity to feel young & strong, to enjoy being outside...
... AND to help Moms enjoy taking care of their bodies and their minds.
Workouts were NOT just another work obligation.

That's what changed!

The entire focus of this community has evolved into being a safe, uplifting space Moms can turn to for direction, encouragement & the support they need to live their best life.

The club just has a new name.
Yes.
We still share workouts.
Strength is essential to looking and feeling your best as you age.
But these days we ALSO share skin care, make up tips, morning routine refreshes, decluttering our homes, Summer planning, mindfulness, time management... and MORE!
If Moms find our Coaching Club because they want to lose weight or workout at home, FANTASTIC!
It's a wonderful way to make that initial connection.... to experience what Jill shared above.
