A message from our pastor, Kevin Putty:
This week, our Kentucky Superintendent Joseph S. Girdler, DMin sent out a devotional that really encouraged me. I wanted to share it with you this morning. Please read it, it will encourage and challenge you.
Remember, we are starting Sunday AM Service back on July 12th. I look forward to seeing our church family. We plan on following all state requirements for both congregational and community safety. More information to come. Remember, God is with us and we are blessed despite the many challenges we face right now. Although darkness is everywhere we look, light is abundant even in the midst of great darkness.
Superintendent Message
I watched clouds roll and a downpour of rain yesterday. Often storms will come and I'll look up and say, "God, a little sun would be nice, please." Light came for the disciples; a figure walking on water. It wasn't what they expected. And, since Jesus came in a way they didn't expect, they almost missed seeing the answer to their prayers. Unless we look and listen attentively, we'll make the same mistakes amidst Covid 19 and the national unrest being faced today. God's light in our dark nights are as numerous as the stars, if we'll only look for them.
Remember in prayer, Nigeria and those martyred in recent weeks (over 600 innocent Christians, to Isis and terrorism).

I'm so thankful for the blood. It will never lose its power!
Praise Him and thank him, today, for HIs redeeming blood.
Our hope is in Jesus Christ!

Words from Pastor Kevin this morning:
Acts 1:8 tells us that we receive power to be God's witnesses.
Many times, we try to rely upon our own strength to accomplish the work of ministry and in so doing limit our joy as well as our effectiveness in that work.
There is a story about a sunken ship that illustrates the quietness of the spirit, but at the same time his Power in our lives.
"Several years ago engineers building a new bridge over the East River in New York, discovered that the wrecked hull of a ship, sunk many years before, lay right where the center piers were to be built. Powerful machinery was brought in to remove the ship, but it would not budge.
Then one of the engineers had an unusual idea-why not have the tide raise the ship!! Some strong cables were attached to the hull when the tide was low. The other ends were fastened to the barge above. As the tide came in, the barge gradually lifted the sunken ship. It was then towed out into the ocean and sunk at a spot that would not cause future problems."
God’s Holy Spirit is like the tide, it comes quietly, it comes in slowly, but it comes to us with great power to move and transform people, organizations and churches so that they’re never, never ever the same in Jesus name.
Let us be sensitive to the coming of the tide of God's presence to empower us for a greater joy and greater work.

Hi CWC, Happy Memorial Day! Today, we honor so many family members, friends and veterans who have gone on to be with the Lord.
They sacrificed their time, tithe and talents for us and all future generations; so, we could enjoy all of the many spiritual freedoms that we have today as Americans.
Speaking of Memorial Day, I wanted all of you to know that several anonymous donors in the name of Edward Elswick, Lester George and Bernice Henderson have stepped up and begun the hard work of reassembling the pews and bolting them back to the Sanctuary floor.
Well done friend of CWC!
You are wonderful for honoring three exceptional congregates who inspired us over and over again during their time on this side of glory.
They are gone, but they're NEVER EVER forgotten.
I have included a video of the pews being installed for us to worship our Savior.
It's like receiving the donation of a brand new church once again.
PTL, we're blessed, we're blessed, we're blessed!
