The Day Spring team makes history!

Day Spring continues to demonstrate excellence in service delivery. In 2026, we achieved a historic milestone by receiving a perfect audit and a two-year recertification from the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DDID).

This accomplishment reflects the quality of care we provide, the dedication of our workforce, and our commitment to responsible stewardship of resources.

Day Spring continues to be recognized as a leader in residential and community-based supports.

Below is our SCL Program and Compliance Team who set the tone for excellence, integrity, and leadership at Day Spring.

We are extremely proud of our team!

The Lee Clinic plays a vital role in our community. Without it, many residents would face significant barriers to accessing the medical services they need.

Families say a state-owned medical clinic for patients with intellectual disabilities has been a lifeline. Now it's being cut off. See link below ⬇️

Yesterday, our residents were excited to see Toy Story 5 the day after it was released! 🍿🎬

Five residents (and one special guest) enjoyed a fun afternoon at the movies, complete with plenty of snacks and a movie everyone enjoyed. Outings like these are a great way to spend time together while giving our residents the opportunity to enjoy everything our community has to offer.

You’ve got a friend in us! 💙

Happy Father's Day to the incredible dads who make Day Spring possible.

Day Spring was built on the strength and love of fathers who refused to settle for less. Today, we celebrate these fathers whose love, determination, and vision helped shape Day Spring into the community it is today.

It was parents like our founder, Jack Ford, who refused to accept limited opportunities for their children. They believed their sons and daughters deserved lives filled with purpose, connection, and dignity—and they worked tirelessly to make that vision a reality.

Their legacy lives on through every father, grandfather, and father figure who stands beside us today. Through their unwavering support, advocacy, and unconditional love, they continue to strengthen our mission and enrich the lives of our residents every day.

To all the dads and father figures who have been part of our journey—thank you. Happy Father's Day from all of us at Day Spring!

*URGENT CALL TO ACTION:

Day Spring is an agency funded more than 75% by the Supports for Community Living Medicaid waiver. The proposed funding cuts cannot happen! We need our network of followers to be a champion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by opposing this decision by the Governor. Please call and send letters daily!

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Medicaid Waiver Services Are at Risk (Please Read Full Post)

*****UPDATE: This afternoon Medicaid announced a 4% across the board rate cut for ALL WAIVERS******

Cuts to reimbursement rates don't just affect providers; they also affect families that support loved ones through the PDS service option.

Waiver service reimbursement rate cuts will result in:
❌ Reduced access to services
❌ Longer waiting lists
❌ Decreased wages for caregiving/support professionals
❌ Increased workforce shortages
❌ Increased costly institutional placements
❌ Potential program closures

Please take 2 minutes today to contact Governor Beshear and ask him to protect Kentucky's 1915(c) waiver services. Contact the Governor here: https://governor.ky.gov/contact/contact-us

Suggested message:
"Governor Beshear, please do not make cuts to 1915(c) Medicaid Waiver reimbursement rates. Waiver services support more than 20,000 vulnerable Kentuckians. The 4% rate reduction will put services, providers, and individuals at risk. Please save our 1915(c) waiver services!"

Every email matters. Every voice matters.

📢 Act today and help protect the waiver services Kentucky's most vulnerable citizens depend on.
