T in TIES is for Increasing (T)ime in General Education
Did you know that only 3% of students with significant cognitive disabilities spend 80% or more of their time in school inside the general education classroom (Kleinert et al., 2015)? Yet, research supports greater outcomes for these students when educated in inclusive education. Increasing the time spent in the general education classroom is a key focus of TIES Center work!
