Talk about a great visit down memory lane!
The KY State Fair starts today! So many great memories in my 14 years at the fair -- meeting our viewers during WDRB Day at the fair. It was always a wonderful reminder journalism mattered, people were affectionately watching the show, and people truly cared. We would relive moments that happened during the show and get to hear what people loved and didn’t love about the show. They also always wanted to see crazy Jude. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
WDRB Day at the Fair this year is August 28th from 2:30 to 5:30. Heck, I might just bring the kids. I won’t be behind the booth. Just walking around and taking in the sights, sounds, and visiting with old friends.

My kids went to a birthday party this weekend that had a traveling petting zoo.
All of the kids absolutely loved it. Well, everything but the turkeys walking around. They were not fans of the gobbling turkeys. Really, i didn’t like the turkeys either.

1k people attended the annual fundraising breakfast in downtown Louisville.
Our generous community raised $348,406!

Why am I excited about this house?
A friend of mine, who’s a first-time homebuyer, just put it under contract. We’ve been working together for about 4 months and she’s looked at 18 houses. Some of them sold in the same day – with multiple offers – and went over asking price. BUT, my friend did not get discouraged and stuck with the plan.
