Considering a new Moustache vibe for 2026

George is a foster rescue I've been taking care of with for 6 or so weeks now. I didn't really know what to expect having not had a cat since childhood and also not caring for a pet on my own before.

And it's the most sweet and fulfilling thing I can imagine! He's a senior and has a lot of health complications but he is pure love and such a joy to learn about and interact with.

From DJ to cat dad. What a life :)

Having a blast riding around NELA on my new bike. Rode through Highland Park today, up and around Debs Park, across to El Sereno and looped back through Ascot Hills Park. Been years since I had a bike and no better way to explore a new neighborhood than this. Hit me up if you want to ride!

Excited to ride this Specialized Vado SL 4.0 E-bike into the summer daze.

Moving to a new neighborhood feels like traveling to a new place. Garvanza is tiny pocket tucked between Highland Park, Pasadena and South Pasadena. Things feel almost rural out here somehow and yet so close to so many things.

I love how the architecture is multi-generation and multi-style, houses built over the years without any particular unifying theme outside of the creativity of their builders. L.A. history is one of my biggest interests and so just having fun getting to know a new place.

Lets go for a walk if you live close by!

I'm hardly ever post here about what I do at work or what I've spent so much time and passion learning about over the last 20 years.

Not Happy with the light I had in this room but 🤷🏻

Tech is weird. So many legitimate issues and privacy tradeoffs on the one hand, but then also such a part of our lives and really the only way to run a small business, non profit, startup, or whatever creative thing you are trying to do. And for this reason I think it's important to leverage what's our there to get more done, more reliably and make work as pleasant and efficient as possible.

I had a blast chatting with the Synchronized Podcast about 5 key lessons I learned from running an I.T. company for 12+ years before I sold it while co-running a DJ project, and helping businesses scale more efficiently. This is mixed with stories about what I'm doing today helping to run a company.

Thse lessons go beyond just IT—whether you're in tech, creative industries, non-profits or any small business, these insights can help you grow smarter, not harder.

5 things I've learned
1. Automation Isn’t About Replacing People—It’s About Elevating Them
2. You Can’t Scale If You’re Always Firefighting
3. Scaling Starts with Documentation & Repeatable Processes
4. The Client’s Role in Scaling Your Business
5. Business Growth Comes from Iteration, Not Perfection

🔑 What I learned:

Automating doesn’t replace jobs, it frees people up to do more meaningful work.

You’ll never scale if you're always reacting to problems. Strategic time is key.

Document your processes—it’s the foundation for everything scalable.

Client education can make your business more efficient and profitable.

Iteration over perfection—start small, then refine.

I'm going to post more about what I'm doing today...

Lovely out and about day at the Lover's Market. Thanks and for the vibes and the music.

Homage is such a special place, describing it as a brewery seems unfair -- too evocative of a sports bro bar. I love what they're doing with this place.

When I look back in my path through business ownership and IT, it’s clear—success isn’t just built on strategy or ex*****on. It’s built on people. 🖤

The first photo? That’s my core team from LA Creative Technologies, the team that turned ideas into reality, challenges into lessons, and work into something deeply meaningful. They weren’t just coworkers—they were the friends and support system that made the impossible feel achievable.

The second photo? Seeing a few colleagues who show our new chapter at Logic Technology Consulting Group (and Eddie's dad :) ) Proof that the universe has a way of aligning paths when you stay open to growth and connection. Joining forces with Logic TCG has reminded me: support doesn’t disappear—it evolves.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
1️⃣ Surround yourself with people who see your potential, even when you don’t.
2️⃣ Trust that every ending makes space for a new beginning.
3️⃣ Gratitude multiplies when shared—so this is my thank you.

To this team (past and present), thank you for showing me the power of trust, collaboration, and belief. Here’s to creating more magic together. ✨”

I took this photo of a Disfraz dancer in Momostenango, Guatemala back in 2008.

While others in town perform dances first introduced by the Spanish in colonial times, the Disfraz dancers pull ftom Hollywood movies and science fiction/Fantasy to create a more modern, less tradition-based dance. They work super hard to create these masks and costumes and practice for months to get their public performances together.

This was shot as part of a documentary called Gods and Kings that I served as a translator for.

Working on some new artistic endeavors these days — Collage work for healing, for visioning or simply as a social activity.

Collage work runs deep in my family — my mom is involved in various projects teaching adults and children how to use this art form to process emotions and life experiences.

Life has been a bit turbulent lately for a variety of reasons personal and global, and for the first time I sat with my mom and fully engaged in the "Soul Collage" process along with Fatinah and my stepdad.

This card that came out of the process shows a lot of what I’ve been engaged in lately mentally. The blue demon figure of depression has been heavy, but doing a lot of mental restructuring around healing inner child / little Josh, getting out into nature, leaning more on faith and practicing gratitude.

None of it is easy, but I’m enjoying finding some new artistic outlets and pushing through day by day.

Beyond this work with my family, I’ve gone to a gathering I found online and one another piece I’ll share, and am working on a collage vision board at home as well. There’s something calming about this medium and I’ll continue to practice and share.

Enough is enough. Keep posting, keep calling reps, educate those in your life on the issue.

As a Jew I will continue sharing so folks can see it is NOT ANTI-SEMETIC to support Palestinians and denounce the ongoing and current actions of the Israeli government. Jews do not have to support the actions of Israel, they are not one and the same.

This is a genocide, we're seeing tactics used by fascist governments the world over, we're seeing the civic infrastructure destroyed. The actions being taken will make the world more dangerous for everyone and won't bring the hostages back.
