Code Read is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2016. Our mission is to bring books to children who may not be able to afford them.
Our mission is to provide new books to children in low income communities in order to increase literacy levels and foster a lifetime love of reading. Books from our collection can only be earned through good behavior. Students are encouraged to have good conduct, and reap the reward for it. While helping kids gain the opportunity to expand their minds and imagination, we help them behave better in the classroom. We wish to make the world a better place for kids, one book at a time.

Happy New Year from Code Read! Thank you to all of our incredible supporters, who made it possible for Code Read to distribute over 6,500 new books in 2025! We can’t wait to continue supporting book access in our communities in 2026. Be sure to follow along for another year of exciting events! 📚💚
ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT in our annual fundraiser! Federal cuts in 2025 have had a ripple effect across the nonprofit sector. Like many organizations, and the partners we serve, Code Read has experienced significant grant losses. As the need for books continues to grow, available funding has declined.
Code Read is 100% volunteer-run. We pay no salaries. Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing books and book bags and keeping our Bookmobile on the road.
So far, we’ve raised $1,600 through our website www.coderead.org and $152 through Facebook. Thank you, thank you!

📚 Inspiring Young Readers in Palmdale! ✨
It was such a pleasure partnering with the to give students free books and share the joy of reading! Our founder .r.krestul visited classrooms, connected with the kids, and spent time talking about the power of imagination and believing in yourself.
The students had an amazing time and reminded us why stories matter so much. 💖
