3 years ago I was part of the opening team of 3 star Michelin Chef Jean George’s first West Coast restaurant in Waldorf Astoria Bevery Hills.
A year ago I was also part of the team that brought Summer of Ludo and Gilles pop-up to Montage Beverly Hills by Michelin chefs Gilles Epie and Ludo Lefebvre.
This year I’m selling chorizo from the back of my car due to the pandemic shutting down our restaurant. All have been very challenging and hard but also fun. But the thing that brought me the most joy is selling chorizo because it is my own and it has kept me busy and motivated during this tough times. It also opened so many new doors and opportunities for me that I can’t even imagine.
In every crisis there is always an opportunity. You just have to dig deeper in yourself to find what brings you joy no matter what the circumstances are. Cooking has always been my escape and cooking is my passion. Whenever I’m cooking I am at peace no matter what’s going on with my life. I love what i do and when you love what you do, there’s always that sense of calmness.
Thank you everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Without you guys this would have not been possible.
