Who is truly committed to this lifestyle long-term—not just excited about the idea today?

2️⃣ WHY?
Why are we doing this—legacy, freedom, security, support, or something else?

3️⃣ WHERE?
Where does this lifestyle make the most sense for your family, work, and future goals?

4️⃣ HOW MUCH SPACE?
How much land and living space does each household need to thrive, not just fit?

5️⃣ WHAT WILL BE SHARED?
Driveway, well, tools, equipment, land, livestock, services—what’s communal vs individual?

6️⃣ WHAT ARE THE NON-NEGOTIABLES?
What boundaries must be clear now to prevent conflict later?

7️⃣ HOW WILL DECISIONS BE MADE?
When disagreements happen (and they will), what is the decision-making process?

8️⃣ WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS?
Who pays for what—land, taxes, maintenance, utilities, repairs, improvements—and how is it structured?

9️⃣ HOW ARE SHARED RESOURCES MANAGED?
How will shared assets like equipment, vehicles, water, gardens, or livestock be used, maintained, and replaced?

🔟 COULD WE CREATE INCOME TOGETHER?
Could shared businesses, farming, rentals, or side income help support the compound?

Will this setup still work as kids grow, families change, or life circumstances shift?

If someone leaves, sells, or can no longer participate, what happens?
