Uwork - Workforce Opportunities through Resource & Knowledge

The Saint Francis University Enactus Team visited Menasha Corporation in Latrobe, PA, yesterday to discuss their UWork project. Last semester, our team received a grant from Menasha to assist with the expansion of UWork and to further develop the UWork website. Yesterday’s meeting included a tour of their facilities, expansion of our connection and partnership, and how our Enactus Team can assist Menasha with their contingent workforce. We are deeply excited to expand our relationship with Menasha and look forward to connecting our constituents with Menasha for potential employment opportunities.

Yesterday marked the first Uwork session of this semester! The session focused on nonverbal communications and the impact it can have on an interview. The audience was highly engaged and asked various questions throughout the session. A special thanks to, Shields School of Business at Saint Francis University, Professor Kent Tonkin's Management 201 class for volunteering their time to help us with the session.

The Uwork team is thrilled to reflect on last year, but we are also excited to see what the fall of 2019 holds for Uwork. Planning has already begun and we are looking forward to an eventfull fall semester!

The Uwork Project was nominated for and won a 2019 Enactus USA Excellence Award! Accepting the award is Co-Leader Morgan Flack, Co-Advisor Kent Tonkin, Saint Francis University Enactus President Greg Heider, and National Enactus Representative Chloe Shauck. We could not be more honored to receive this award and we look forward to continuing Uwork this fall!
