Thanks to my Father, I have always enjoyed creating and building things. With a slightly artistic touch, I now bring to you Docs Wood Works. Enjoy!

Docs Wood Works is a way for me to share my unique creations. Are all one-of-a-kind and each was born through it's own unique inspiration. When you give one of my creations as a gift, you can be sure no-one else in the world has one just like it. With each post I'll describe the style, material, and what makes it special.

So with renewed enthusiasm I am back in the shop and looking to promote my online store. It's a hobby but I've got some beautiful pens in my display case that I'd love to find homes for.

My most recent set was for a raffle at a client meeting of State Farm agents.

Like my Page please!

If you visit my site DocsWorkBench.com, I'm now accepting BitCoin as payment!!

All the pens I make for my clients are special and made with them in mind, but one client stands out as being a combination of my longest standing, most loyal, and most staggeringly high producing, for this I have created a most special pen...thank you Bina!

I've been away from the lathe for a while, but here are a few new creations. I'm making some pens for special clients in coming days and will then mov on to more unusual designs.

Made for a friend as a belated birthday gift. He lives in St Pete Beach, FL where the pictured piece of driftwood was found. I believe the driftwood is cypress. It is soft and crumbly making it a bit difficult to work with, blew up the first 2 attempts on the lathe. In the end the dried salt deposts made a spectacular and unique grain patten against the titanium nitride hardware.

Veterans Day is November 11. Know a vet who you want to show your appreciation for their service?

These are the service ribbons for Iraq, Afghanistan, Desert Storm, and Vietnam.
