This Saturday is full of America 250 fun!

Longview and Gregg County will kick-off America 250 festivities on national history day with a full slate of events throughout the day and ending with a parade and laser light show at night.

• Chautauqua Festival, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., at Longview Public Library
• Dalton Days presented by Gregg County Historical Museum, Noon-4:00 p.m.
• Downtown Live Concert featuring Tuxedo Cats at 5:00 p.m. at Heritage Plaza
• America 250 Parade at 6:30 p.m. on Whaley and Methvin in Downtown Longview
• Laser Light Show at 8:15 p.m. on VeraBank in Downtown Longview

America turns 250 this year, and we want to see your patriotism!🌟

We're teaming up with Keep Longview Beautiful to invite local businesses to decorate for America 250. Registration is FREE, just submit a photo of your decorated business by June 14, to this form: https://bit.ly/4sFpG65

Public voting will run from June 22 through July 3 on social media through Facebook likes and in person at the Visit Longview Marketplace. Winners will be announced at the Freedom & Fireworks Event on July 4th.

This is the week! 🎶🌿 Music in the Gardens is BACK this Thursday and we are kicking things off with the one and only Tuxedo Cats!

Music starts at 6PM, so grab your friends, your lawn chairs, and your dancing shoes 💃

Ki Mexico will be serving up a taco bar, plus Sweet Dreams Cotton Candy and fresh lemonade will be on hand for a little extra treat 🍋🍭 And of course, you’re always welcome to bring your own picnic!

Holiday Hours Update: The Visit Longview Marketplace will be OPEN tomorrow during regular hours as the first Downtown Live concert of the season takes place at Heritage Plaza!

We will be CLOSED Saturday and Easter Sunday.
