Pine Tree Volunteers

Fantastic schools, wonderful people, and a beautiful setting...these are just a few reasons why Pine Tree ISD is a great place to volunteer. Whether it’s volunteering in a literacy program, football game or donating incentives and rewards, there are many venues to get involved, have fun, and impact lives in an important way.

As one of four public school districts serving Longview, Texas, PTISD is located in Gregg County, on Interstate 20 between Shreveport, LA and Dallas, TX. The surroundings include towering pines, blooming azaleas, rolling hills and pastures dotted with an occasional oil well. Recreational facilities are in abundance. There are over 25 lakes within 75 miles which provide great fishing and water sports. Shopping and entertainment opportunities abound. An ideal climate helps to make this an area that over 73,000 East Texans call home.Pine Tree Schools are accredited by the Texas Education Agency and by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges. Student enrollment is approximately 4,700 for grades PK-12. Pine Tree Campuses are: Pine Tree Primary, Birch Elementary, Parkway Elementary, Pine Tree Middle School, Pine Tree Junior High, and Pine Tree High School. Due to successful Bond Elections, a new Middle School opened in the fall of 2007, and a new Primary School opened in the fall of 2009. The High School has seen additions and major renovation to house grades 9-12 in the year 2008, and The Pirate Center: a Multi-Purpose Building which opened in the Spring of 2008. The 2011 Bond projects provide improvements in technology, academics and extracurricular activities, athletics and infrastructure. A new stadium included in the proposition, located near campuses off Loop 281 near PT Parkway, opened in 2013.
